With just a few weeks left until the exclusive unveiling of our brand new complete home development on Elizabeth St, North Richmond, we sat down with our Director and Builder, John Micallef to find out what makes Hawkesbury Homes and our work a cut above the rest.
What has led you to undertake this complete home development in North Richmond?
I’ve been a custom home builder in the Hawkesbury for 30 years. In that time, Hawkesbury Homes has established a reputation for high quality and efficient workmanship, excellent customer service and a careful eye for detail and design.
When we compared our custom homes to complete home developments, we were disappointed with the level of inclusions, design and finishes. We felt that with the combined passion for building, expertise and experience that my family, team and I hold, we had the perfect formula for creating the feel of a custom home in a complete home setting.
2. What’s the difference between Hawkesbury Homes and other builders?
We are a family owned and run business. My wife Antionette runs everything behind the scenes and is also a talented landscape designer. My son Anthony has over 10 years of construction experience and has been running our sites for years. My daughter Elizabeth is our Project Building Coordinator and manages a great deal of our pre-construction requirements from building approvals, estimating and construction coordination.
Our clients benefit from our combined passion for every stage of the home building process. We are truly passionate about what we do and take care, pride and joy in every build. Some of our custom home builds even hold award worthy status!
3. Is there anything you’re particularly proud of in these homes?
We are extremely proud to showcase how we are raising the standard and quality of home development through these three new complete homes.
A quality home build all comes down to three things. Smart design, detailed finishes and quality fixtures and workmanship. We take such pride in executing all three in every home we design and build and believe it’s this that sets us apart from the rest.
The importance of all three can be undervalued at times, and yet they make all the difference to the overall look, feel and liveability of the home.
4. Why did you choose this location?
The Hawkesbury is our community. We’ve raised our family here and have supported many others to do the same by building them their dream homes. Over the years, we’ve come to understand what people need and want from their homes and the importance of combining design and functionality.
We specifically chose Elizabeth St, North Richmond for this development as it’s a growing residential community, located on a quiet cul-de-sac that provides a peaceful and tranquil setting, yet in close proximity to shops and schools for the convenience and ease of lifestyle.
5. Who do you imagine living in these homes?
These homes have been designed as forever family homes. No matter what stage of life – from young couples that are planning for their future family, young or established families that are looking for a home that will grow with them, or mature couples that are seeking a low-maintenance property but enough space to host extended family gatherings.
